The three Cyclematic bicycles; the “Cyclone”, “Metro” and “Phoenix” all use 200 watt brushless electric drives. 200 watts is the maximum power allowed in Australia for the bikes to comply as an electric assisted bicycle. An electric bicycle can be driven on Australian roads without registration or car/motorcycle licence. The rider has the same freedom as a normal cyclist.

Pedal Assist (PAS). In this mode, a sensor “picks up” rotation of the pedals being pushed and calls on the motor to assist the cyclist. The power comes on smoothly and if the cyclist keeps pedaling (even gently), the power will keep on driving the bicycle to its top speed. If the cyclist stops pedaling the power is stopped and the bicycle will “coast”. Twist Power mode uses a twist throttle - like on a motorcycle, no pedaling is required at all. All the Cyclematic bikes come with both Pedal Assist and Twist power modes.

The Cyclematic “Cyclone” brings you the latest in electric bike technology. Based on a mountain bike concept, it utilises front fork suspension to smooth the bumps and disc front brake combined with rear hub brakes for powerful stops. Shimano 7 speed gears with positive “trigger” gear change are a standard feature. The powerful lithium battery can be released in seconds. It is locked in place with a quality key to avoid unauthorised removal. The battery can be removed for charging or charged while on the bicycle. The “Cyclone” has quick adjust seat so it can be adjusted for different riders in seconds. It can also disassemble easily for efficient storage or transport in a car or wagon by fast release wheels. The Cyclematic “Metro” is the ultimate inner city commuter. It has front suspension and rear carry rack and full mud guards with mud flaps for maximum all-weather performance. Quality six speed Shimano gears with positive trigger type gear change are fitted as standard. Powerful front and back brakes are standard for strong stopping.

Power is controlled by “Pedal Assist” or twist power as on the “Cyclone” model. The “Metro” folds down in seconds to a very small package for easy transport or storage. The quick folding design allows the rider to easily take the bicycle to the office or on crowded public transport.

The “Metro” has a similar range to the other Cyclematic models; approximately 40km (PAS). The Cyclematic “Metro” is the perfect vehicle to get to work, or the shops, or go visiting friends.
